Escape The Night - Original Acrylic Painting on Canvas, original painting by award winning artist Lotus MacDowell. The title suggests a transformation from the oppression of darkness in to a serene area of green. The copper metallic rectangles show movement toward the green area, as one last shape is slowly working its way to the same destination. The right side, divided by a piercing white line, has a small area of black- as if it's an extension of the green area...maybe indicating that the darkness lurks even under the safe green place. The vivid pink on the right encompasses some subtle streaks of purple. It appears as if this area has already taken over the night on the right hand side and is pushing down on the remaining small black space to eliminate it completely.
This acrylic on canvas has been framed using a "floating method" so that it is raised above the backing for a 3- dimensional effect. The backing is a black raw linen mat, with black spacers and a wood frame with a distressed copper metallic finish. It's clean and sophisticated. The conservation framing includes Museum Glass, which protects against harmful UV rays and eliminates annoying reflections so you can appreciate the finished product from any angle.

How Do You Calculate Shipping Costs?
All of our shipping is done through the United States Postal Service. The cost of shipping is based on the amount of your "cart total".
- $0.00-$200.00 will be charged $18.00
- $200.01-$400.00 will be charged $30.00
- $400.01-600.00 will be charged $45.00
- $600.01-800.00 will be charged $60.00
- $800.01 and above will be charged $80.00.
Items are shipped within three days of the date that the order was placed. If there is a delay in shipment of your order we will alert you via email.

Are Returns & Refunds Available?
If your purchase did not meet your expectations, we do accept items that are returned in good condition. Consumers will be reimbursed the purchase total less the shipping costs.
When will I receive my order?
Orders requested during the weekdays (Monday-Friday) before 3:00 pm will be shipped that same day. All other orders will be shipped the following day; and on Monday, if ordered during the weekend. Please allow a shipment time of 3 days for delivery.
