Lone Guardian- Original Acrylic Painting on Canvas
Lone Guardian- Original Acrylic Painting on Canvas: This original painting by Lotus MacDowell, Artworks WV, is the last one in a series of twenty two, and the black in the image represents darkness or a void. The green and pink area are moving toward the center as if they want to eliminate the black. The copper line seems to protect the pink area from being absorbed. "Lone Guardian", as this is titled, is the copper square on the left- floating within the green mass yet still noticeable and clearly defined. The artist says that the widths of the rectangular shapes emphasize strength (as in the green) and safety. This can be interpreted many different ways, which is why Lotus adds a provocative title to make the viewers explore what possible meanings they can interpret. There is only one of this, so grab it while you can!
This acrylic painting on canvas is by award winning artist Lotus MacDowell. It has been framed using a "floating method" so that it is raised above the backing for a 3-dimensional effect. The backing is a black raw linen mat, with black spacers and a distressed copper metallic frame. It's simple, elegant and contemporary. The conservation framing includes Museum glass, which protects against harmful UV rays and eliminates annoying reflections so you can appreciate the finished product from any angle.
